Hi Shar- So glad to hear from you. Wow. It sounds like you are getting hit from both sides, but I am glad to hear that the Enbrel seems to be working on your RA. It will be wonderful when your doctor can get at least one of them (RA, PMR) under control. Or maybe all the medication will work on both at the same time. I hope so. I'm resigned to a long, slow taper off of the Prednisone. I found the body seems to go into "shock" rather quickly when the Prednisone is reduced. Almost like an attack. However, a small bonus; with this slow taper I have stopped gaining weight. Not losing it, but not putting on pounds anymore. Did your doctor prescribe anything for your pain and stiffness? Occasionally I take a low dose of a pain pill in the morning. Not every day. I know it seems like it will go on forever, but I am sure there are some good days ahead. With PMR, every once in a while there are good days. I wish you many, many good days and hope they come soon. Please feel better. Best wishes, Ida
